Let’s dive into some simple measures you can take to ensure your dishwasher cleans to the best of its ability.
Water temperature
Before running your dishwasher, run hot sink water for 2-3 minutes. This will help the dishwasher receive hot water more quickly, reducing runtime and providing more sterilization to your load.
Detergent
Do not use powder detergent because it does not fully dissolve. This causes build-up, erosion and bad odors. We recommend the use of liquid detergent.
Use a rinse aid
Periodically add a rinse aid to the detergent reservoir in your dishwasher by removing the cap of the canister and pouring it up to the bleed hole. The rinse aid is designed to read the water temperature, which minimizes the heating process. It also enhances the drying of your dishes. Refill the rinse aid every 3 months.
Clean the filter
The removable filter in your dishwasher is designed to collect food and matter that can’t be drained through the wash system. Simply clear it by rinsing it in your sink.
No paper
Remove the paper labels from the sides of any jars and bottles before running a cycle. Otherwise, the paper will break down and build up on the wash arms.
